Smoked Maple Old Fashioned Cocktail


1 tsp pure maple syrup

1 cedar plank

1 pinch of sugar

Two dashes of Angostura bitters

60mL high-quality bourbon

1 large ice cube (optional)

1 slice of orange peel


Take a few Gold Blend GMG Pellets on a plank of Cedar and ignite with a torch. Place a glass over the smoking pellets for a couple of minutes. The longer you let it sit, the more smoke flavour your drink will have. Add maple syrup, sugar, Angostura bitters and bourbon into the smoked glass. Add ice cube and stir the mixture quickly for about 30 seconds. Take fresh orange peel slice and twist to release its aroma. Rub around the rim of the glass.

Optional: grill your orange peel on the Green Mountain Grill before adding it to the drink!
